Exos material is available in two core thicknesses of .040” and 0.065”.  The 0.040" material offers stability and protection with a slight degree of flexibility, while the 0.065” thickness provides a greater rigidity depending on clinical indications. The surface fabric is compatible with Velcro type hook and loop fasteners for quick assembly. The inner surface has Exos foam for comfort next to the skin. It may be cut and trimmed easily with shears when warm and is heat formable for many uses. Orthopaedic techs, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers who create custom devices for patients will find many uses for this material.  It may be used to fashion custom musculoskeletal support systems for the body or may be used for sports protective padding. Several attachment and closure means are available. Velcro type hook strips in several sizes in addition to the Adjustable Tensioning Strap (ATS) and the Attachable Boa® Tensioning Kit (ABK) may be used as appropriate.
